All the major bullet manufactors have a manual and they update them often and I would recomend picking one up if you reload or plan to reload. Thats the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. Like others have stated there are only loads listed using Hornady bullets. According to Hornady's hype their L. Not finding any other loading manuals listing Lever Evolution powder I'd expect to find a lot more info in Hornady's Handbook. One person found this helpful.
Have used other editions also, Contains very necessary information for reloading ammunition which MUST be done carefully and safely. It pays to have more than one such book, for reference, to double check loads for various cartridges etc. There are many cartridges and not every last one of them can be covered in every last reloading manual.
I always would recommend this one. I had an older addition in the 2 volume set but was time to update to for the newer cartridges. Was very pleased with the fact that it is now just one volume since it is easier to deal with. The ballistic tables have been removed since all that is easily found online at Hornady and elsewhere.
All the basic instructions to precise details have been kept and well organized. I have a copy of every reloading manual written in the last 50 years and this one is my favorite.
I keep mine on my bed stand along with the Holy Bible. Ok, maybe I am a little O. If you are going to own only one reloading reference, this is it. This is my second Hornady Reloading Manual and I am impressed with the many upgrades to the loading data.
Quite a few new calibers have been added, as well as new bullets and powders. The only knocks I have are that I don't think the narrative for all of the calibers is as detailed as some were in previous editions, the listing order is not always logical or at least what I am accustomed to, and you have to log onto the company website to find the ballistic charts. If it were not for the last of these, I would have still given the manual a 5 star rating. Overall, a fine manual for a company with great products to offer the reloader.
